I’m a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Philosophy Department at MIT.

I work in Ethics and the Philosophy of Language. At the moment, I’m thinking about reasons, oughts, ‘reason’ and ‘ought’. You can learn about my research here.

This semester I’m teaching MIT’s introductory philosophy course (Problems of Philosophy). Information about my teaching can be found here.

My CV is available here. You can reach me at eliot@mit.edu.
